What is proven
1. You exist, right now. You are reading this sentence — no other fact comes with better proof.
2. The universe is 13.8 billion years old. Measured 3 separate ways: the light left over from its start, the age of the oldest stars, and its expansion speed. All 3 give the same number.
3. All Life on Earth is one family. Fossils show the sequence, DNA shows the relation, geography shows the spread. All 3 draw the same family tree.
4. Your experience runs on brain circuits. Anesthesia interrupts them: you stop — no thoughts, no time, no you. Everything you believe stops with you. Your heart keeps beating; your body stays alive without any of it. Drug clears, circuits reconnect, you and all of it return. Everything you have ever experienced runs on those circuits. Nothing beyond them has ever been measured.
Never demonstrated
What was never shown to be real
1. An afterlife. About 110 billion humans have lived and died. Confirmed reports back from any of them: zero.
2. Prayer changing outcomes. The largest test ever run — 1,800 heart-surgery patients, 2006 — found no effect. Patients who knew they were being prayed for did slightly worse.
3. Prophecy. No prediction from any doctrine that was specific, dated, and checkable has ever come true when checked.
4. Miracles. Every investigated case has ended the same way: a story, a coincidence, or a trick. No exceptions found so far.

Humanity has worshipped more than 18,000 named gods. Ra, Zeus, Odin, Marduk, Quetzalcoatl — each one had temples, offerings, and believers who were completely certain, for centuries.
Their believers were as certain as any believer today. The gods disappeared anyway.

“God is dead” — what Nietzsche actually meant
He wrote it in 1882. It does not mean a god existed and died. It means the idea of God had stopped working — science already explained the world better. There is either Life or god — never the two together. Bring up a god, and you get confused about Life. Nietzsche accepted Life as the real one, and killed the idea of the unreal one. He warned that most people would take a long time to notice. Over 140 years on, it is still coming true.
